Salt Lake City, the United States is the capital of the State of Utah. While the core has only 178.000 inhabitants, around one million people live in its metropolitan area. Salt Lake City is located in the Valley of Salt Lake Valley on the East coast of Great Salt Lake and is included by the - up to 2000m high - peaks of the Wasatch range and on the West by the Oquirrh mountains from the East.
